How to Approach the Prompt

View A (The Opposing Side)

- Keep your tone neutral and objective.
View B (The Side You Support)
- Introduce the alternative perspective.
- Provide strong arguments for why this side is more logical or beneficial.
- Clearly indicate that this aligns with your personal opinion.
The Perfect 4-Paragraph Structure
1. Introduction
- Sentence 1: Paraphrase the prompt (mention both views).
- Sentence 2: Thesis Statement (State which view you agree with).
2. Body Paragraph 1
- Topic Sentence: Introduce the view you disagree with.
- Explanation: Explain why people hold this view.
- Example: Give a supporting example for them.
3. Body Paragraph 2
- Topic Sentence: Introduce the view you agree with.
- Explanation: Explain your reasoning.
- Example: Provide a strong example to support it.
4. Conclusion
- Sentence 1: Summarize the core of both views.

You don’t need a separate 5th paragraph for your opinion. Simply embed your opinion into Body Paragraph 2 by starting with: “On the other hand, I side with those who believe…”
